NU Press annual ‘Hurt Book’ sale is Nov. 5, 6

The University of Nebraska Press will host a Hurt Book Sale on Nov. 5 and 6 at the NU Press warehouse on R Street, between 8th and 9th streets in the Haymarket.

The sale is open to only UNL faculty, staff and students and friends of the NU Press from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 5. The sale will be open to the public from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 6.

The sale includes a wide variety of titles at greatly reduced prices. Sale titles will include both hardcover and paperback books on the following topics: Lewis and Clark, military history, science fiction, Native studies, baseball, Nebraska history, memoir, translated fiction and literature, western literature and more. Classics by Nebraska authors including Willa Cather, Mari Sandoz, John G. Neihardt, Wright Morris, Ted Kooser, William Kloefkorn and others will also be available.

Paperbacks are $2 each, hardcovers are $4 each, or fill a bag for $12. During the Nov. 6 sale, shoppers can fill a box for $36. There are no box sales Nov. 5.
