UNL Extension and Nebraska Educational Telecommunications teamed up to produce a “Recession Survival Guide.”

The program – which featured UNL Extension experts explaining money-saving tactics ranging from trimming grocery bills to making homes more efficient – aired June 16 on NET-TV.

NET Television senior producer Mike Tobias interviewed UNL Extension experts on five specific topics – “Cutting Food Costs” with Lancaster County Extension educator Alice Henneman; “Household Expenses” and “Managing Money” with UNL Extension family economist Kathy Prochaska-Cue; “Energy Savings” with UNL Extension housing and environment specialist Shirley Niemeyer; and “Handling Stress” with Seward County Extension educator Gail Brand.
