Baltimore Consort to perform

The Baltimore Consort will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery Auditorium as a Lincoln Friends of Chamber Music event. The concert, titled “Cupid’s Cabinet,” will feature English, Scottish, Appalachian and French music. The five instrumentalists and one vocalist are experts in Renaissance and Baroque music and have many individual recordings to their credit in addition to releases by the full Consort.

David Breckbill, professor of music at Doane College, will give a pre-concert lecture at 7:30 p.m., and the Consort will join the audience for a reception in the Great Hall after the evening's performance.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased at the door. For more information, call 435-5454.
