Wendy Weiss, professor of textiles, clothing and design, and her spouse, Jay Kreimer, are showing their newest art installation, “Traveler’s Field: An Animated Textile and Sound Environment,” March 30 through April 23 at the Triangle Gallery of Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.

School of Music, Lied team up for Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony
The UNL School of Music and the Lied Center for Performing Arts will collaborate to present Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. April 24 at the Lied Center.

College to sponsor alumni weekend
The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts will celebrate its annual Alumni Weekend April 23-24. A variety of special activities are planned for the celebration, which is the culminating weekend of the college’s 10th anniversary celebration.

Books point out highlights of Lewis, Clark trails
