Touching the Void documents through re-creation an Andes mountain climb by two British men in 1985. It uses first-person on-camera accounts of the adventure by Joe Simpson and Simon Yates combined with re-enacted footage of their harrowing feats. After three days of climbing, Simpson fell and broke several bones in his leg. The men decided to descend together in a slow, painful process that could have been deadly for both.

Lost Boys of Sudan documents the journey of two Southern Sudanese youth, called “Lost Boys,” from Africa to America. Orphaned as young boys in their country’s civil war, Peter and Santino reached a refugee camp in Kenya with thousands of other children. From there, they were chosen to come to America. Safe from physical danger and hunger, they find themselves dealing with life in the United States.
