The St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre is one of the most distinguished classical companies in Russia and in the world, given the honor and official status by the Russian government as "State and Academic Ballet." The company regularly performs to packed audiences in its hometown and other major cities throughout the country. It has successfully toured in more than 50 countries.

Each dancer has received the finest ballet training in the world, and its art provides a unique opportunity to experience the richness and variety of Russian ballet at its best.

Company choreographer, Leonid Jacobson, said, "Thousands of people finish ballet schools and dance brilliantly, but very few speak to the audience through the language of dance. Our artists can."

A pre-performance talk will be held in the Lied's Steinhart Room 30 minutes prior to curtain.
