The Bathtub Dogs' a cappella stylings hit Lied March 29

The Bathtub Dogs are an all-male a cappella group that has been entertaining students at UNL since 2002. The "dogs" make their Lied debut with a free concert beginning at 6 p.m. March 29. The concert is part of the Lied's Free at 6 series.

The brainchild of Scott Wilson and Aaron Hurlbut, the Bathtub Dogs were modeled after college a cappella groups on the East Coast where fun and humor is just as ingrained as the music itself. Whether joking around on stage or astonishing crowds with their a cappella interpretations of popular music, the Bathtub Dogs have earned a large following. Members for the 2004/05 season are: Andy West, Jason Lowe, Dan Beavers, Adam Phillips, Dave Link, Matt Engler, Jeff Orosco, Brian Butler, Bobby Learch, Will Norton, Scott Wilson, Greg Nielsen, Bill Shirer, and Tim Pederson. You can learn more about the Bathtub Dogs at their web site www.bathtubdogs.com.

Free at 6 recognizes and celebrates the rich range of artistic talent in the community and opens the doors of the Lied Center to a wider audience. Free at 6 programs, 45 minutes in length, give local artists a venue to build support for their art while encouraging the participation of new audiences. The participants in next season's Free at 6 series will be announced in May along with the rest of the Lied Center's upcoming 2005-2006 season.
