 Wayne Babchuk has collected a basement full of cowboy memorabilia. The collection includes numerous items from the 1940s to 1960s, many of which were given to Babchuk by friends. He said the collection started with just a few toys he had as a youth. Items pictured below are a Roy Rogers toy guitar and a plastic figure painted by a friend of Babchuk. Hubble Images at Mueller Planetarium
Martin Gaskell, senior lecturer in physics and astronmy at UNL discusses Whirlpool Galaxy M51 during the unveling of Hubble Space Telescope images at Mueller Planetarium on April 25. In honor of Hubble's 15th anniversary, two posters of space telescope photos were given to Mueller Planetarium to display within Morrill Hall. The other image is of Eagle Nebula M16, showcasing a 9.5-ightyear tall, dense tower of gas that is being formed by ultraviolet light from a group of massive, hot stars. The planetarium is among 100 science centers across the country, from Guam to Maine that will display the mural-size images.
