Rescued animals take center stage at Lied

Circus veteran Gregory Popovich will bring his family-friendly Comedy Pet Theatre to the Lied Center for Performing Arts at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 23.

Popovich's Comedy Pet Theatre features the extraordinary talents of four-legged friends rescued from animal shelters. The show has become an audience favorite and has been featured in People magazine and The New York Times Sunday Magazine. Popovich has also been a guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Night with David Letterman." In addition to entertaining his audiences, Popovich's goal is to educate people that every animal is unique and that we have a great responsibility to our pets.

Expanding on the family atmosphere, the Lied Center will host LiedFamFest beginning 90 minutes before each performance. Everyone with tickets to the show is invited to come early for this family-friendly party.

Call the Lied at 472-4747 for ticket availability.
