Hazell's comedic beginnings took place in Omaha, where he first appeared on the local comedy scene. He was a finalist in Showtime's "Funniest Person in America" contest before moving to Los Angeles in 1985. His wholesome humor and ability to turn childhood nostalgia into hilarious and entertaining acts helped him gain recognition in the otherwise competitive Los Angeles stand-up comedy environment.

From his humble Midwestern beginnings, Hazell has gone on to make numerous television appearances and write both original theatre pieces and for syndicated network programs. Most notably, he was one of the original writers for the hit series Seinfeld.

He currently tours with "The Wonder Bread Years," a one-man show-and-tell that is also airing on PBS as a television special. Hazell brought "The Wonder Bread Years" to the Lied Center in September 1999.

A pre-performance talk by Beth Muehling, member of the Lyp-Schtick improv group, begins at 7 p.m. in the Lied Center's Steinhart Room. Seating is limited.

Cho has made many appearances both on television and in movies, with roles in films such as "Material Girls" and "Say It Isn't So."

Brogan worked for nine years on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno before leaving to further his stand-up career and write movies.

Cotter was nominated as "Best Stand-Up" in the American Comedy Awards. He has appeared dozens of times on both Jay Leno and David Letterman and also hosted Comic Strip Live for more than three years.

Tickets for this performance are $32, $27 and $22. UNL students with a valid NCard and youth 18 and younger may purchase tickets for half price. For more information, go online to www.liedcenter.org or call 472-4747.
