Sheldon seeks volunteers for docent program

Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery invites volunteers to become museum docents this fall. Through leading visitor tours and sharing information about the Sheldon and its exhibitions, docents enjoy the rewards of assisting others while developing knowledge about American art.

To apply for this fall's docent training course, volunteers must complete an application by Aug. 1. The course will begin Aug. 27, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Sheldon. Ongoing monthly training sessions will be held throughout the school year.

To apply or nominate someone for the program, contact Karen Janovy, curator of education, at kjanovy1@unl.edu or 472-4524.
