String Beans to play the Ross Dec. 1

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents "An Afternoon with The String Beans" at 1 p.m. Dec. 1.

The local trio - which includes Curtis Bright, broadcast specialist with University Communications - will sing family-friendly tunes from their new album, show their animated cartoon "Right Here in Nebraska," and hold an informal question and answer session with the audience.

The event, which is free and open to the public, celebrates the release of the band's fourth album, "Crazy Critter Baby Sitter." The new CD includes 15 original songs.

The String Beans are Bright, his brother Randy and Freddy Kerr. For more information, go online to www.thestringbeans.net.
