Author signing Dec. 12

Author Amy Knox Brown will present a reading and signing of her new book, "Three Versions of the Truth," noon to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the University Bookstore.

In the collection of stories, Brown explores history's impact on the lives of modern-day Midwesterners. The stories, many of which are set in or around Lincoln, examine characters forced to make hard choices about the stories they tell themselves and the things they can live with.

Brown is a Lincoln native, earning a doctorate in English/creative writing from UNL and a juris doctorate from the NU College of Law. Brown is a visiting assistant professor of creative writing at Salem College.

Refreshments will be served during the reading, which is free and open to the public.
