Work of 30 artists featured in March 8 Art and Art History MEDICI fundraiser

Thirty alumni of UNL's Department of Art and Art History are contributing art to MEDICI, the department's support organization, for its March 8 gala.

The event is at 6:30 p.m. in the Eisentrager•Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. General admission tickets are $50 per person. Premium tickets, which admit two and offer each holder a work of original art, are $300.

The first 30 premium ticket buyers for "MEDICI Celebrates Alumni: Coming Back/Giving Back" will participate in drawings for the works.

All ticket holders will receive hors d'oeuvres, beverages and personalized hardcover journal sketch books.

In addition to the 30 alumni works, there will be a display of art by third-year UNL graduate students. The exhibitions will be on display at Eisentrager-Howard Gallery during the week preceding the MEDICI event.

During the 12 years MEDICI has hosted its annual fundraising events, the organization has provided the department with funds.

For more information, or to purchase tickets, call the Art and Art History office at 472-5522, or Carol Thompson at 781-2061.
