Fountain Frolics series begins

The University Program Council at UNL presents the Fountain Frolics summer music series Thursdays in June and July (except June 30) on the Nebraska Union Plaza.

Local and student artists will perform free concerts from noon to 1 p.m. in the plaza, located on the north side of the Nebraska Union. Hot dogs, chips and Pepsi products will be available for $3. The event is open to the public.

Musical guests include: June 9, The Earls; June 16, John Smith of Milwaukee, Wis.; June 23, The Lightning Bugs; July 7, Broad Appeal; July 14, Toasted Ponies; July 21, Nebraska Jazz Octet; and July 28, The Resonators.

The University Program Council is a volunteer student organization designed to address the co-curricular, social, recreational, cultural and educational needs of the UNL campus.
