The University Health Center will hold influenza vaccine clinics for UNL students, faculty and staff. Including clinics held Oct. 24 and 25, nine influenza vaccination sessions will be offered.
The remaining walk-in clinics scheduled are:
Oct. 31, 8 to 10 a.m., University Health Center
Nov. 1, 1 to 3 p.m., University Health Center
Nov. 7, 1 to 3 p.m., University Health Center

Nov. 14, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., East Union
Nov. 15, 8 to 10 a.m., University Health Center
Flu vaccinations are $20. Payment via cash or check is required at the time of the vaccination. Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance claims will be filed by the health center for individuals who bring insurance cards.
Dr. James Guest, director of the health center, recommends that individuals get an influenza vaccination, particularly those with asthma, diabetes, chronic illness or respiratory conditions.
Protection develops about two weeks after getting the vaccination and may last up to a year.
Flu vaccinations are also available by appointment at the University Health Center.
