Chiara to conclude Brahms series April 10
The Chiara String Quartet, artists-in-residence with the School of Music, will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
The quartet will be joined by Grammy Award-winning violist Roger Tapping in the concluding concert of their three-part series "Love, Life, Spirit: The Chiara Quartet and Friends Celebrate the Music of Brahms." Pieces to be performed are Brahms's String Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 51 and String Quartet No. 2 in G Major, Op. 111.
The performance is part of the Lied Center's Onstage Series, with both artists and audience on the Lied main stage.
A post-performance talk with Peter Smith and Tapping will follow the performance.
The Chiara String Quartet includes Rebecca Fisher on violin, Julie Yoon on violin, Jonah Sirota on viola, and Gregory Beaver on cello.
The Brahms series is a collaboration between the quartet, the School of Music, Lincoln Friends of Chamber Music, and the Lied Center.
Tickets for this performance are $36. UNL students with a valid NCard and youth 18 and under may purchase tickets for half price.
