"Dirty Hands" opens at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Lab Theatre, third floor of the Temple Building. Other performances are 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 7; 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8; and 2 p.m. Dec. 9.

"Dirty Hands" is a political drama set during World War II in the fictional European country of Illyria. Hugo Barine (played by junior Sean McGill) is a young revolutionary whose only desire is to prove he is more than his bourgeois upbringing.

Persuaded by Hugo's enthusiasm, Louis (junior Axel Arth) sends Hugo on his first mission - to kill the Communist party leader, Hoederer (senior Darin Hemmer).

The storyline establishes the assassin from the beginning, but poses the question whether the motivations were political or personal.

"Dirty Hands" is directed by first-time Theatrix director Jonathon Irons, a junior with a film and new medial emphasis in Theatre and Film.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students.
