Chancellor's Senior Staff issues N-Lighten challenge

The Chancellor's Senior Staff has issued a challenge to themselves and faculty and staff to participate in N-Lighten Nebraska 2008.

This three-month challenge (Feb. 1-May 1) encourages Nebraskans to develop sustainable healthy physical activity and eating habits. The unique team format encourages teammates to work together toward the common goal of living healthier lives.

The program is for teams of two to 10 participants. The deadline for early registration is Jan. 19. The entry fee is $15 per participant.

Register online at www.n-lightennebraska.com/corporate/UNL. To be eligible for special UNL-only incentives (including a free membership to Campus Recreation centers in February) use the code UNLNLN08 when registering.

To schedule a presentation about N-Lighten Nebraska or for more information, contact Teresa Grosserode at 472-0738.

The Nebraska Sports Council has been challenging Nebraskans with the N-Lighten Nebraska program since 2003. In last year's program, 6,832 Nebraskans participated and lost 16,390 lbs.

Promotion of this program is part of the campus-wide effort to increase wellness awareness and participation in the UNL community.
