Fiction writer to read tonight

Fiction writer Dan Chaon will read from his new book, Among the Missing, at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Dudley Bailey Library, Room 229, in Andrews Hall.

Chaon was born and raised in Sidney. He and his wife, writer Sheila Schwartz, live in Cleveland, where he teaches creative writing at Oberlin College as the Houck Associate Professor in the Humanities.

Chaon is also the author of the collection Fitting Ends and has received many awards including the Raymond Carver Memorial Award. In 2001, Chaon was a finalist for the National Book Award.

The reading, which is sponsored by the English department and creative writing program, is free and open to the public.
