Theatrix presents Ensler's Necessary Target

Theatrix, the student theatre organization at UNL, continues its season with Eve Ensler's Necessary Targets. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21, 22 and 23 and at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 22 in 301 Temple Building. Admission is $5 at the door only.

Necessary Targets tells of two American women, Melissa, an ambitious young writer and civil rights worker played by Mikael Walter, and J.S., a successful but unsatisfied psychiatrist played by Kira Ross Schlitt, who travel to Bosnia in 1995 to help women confront their memories of war. The Bosnian women are played by Sarah DeWald, Kate Lottinville, Joni McLaughlin and Julie Murry.

Ensler, best known for The Vagina Monologues, wrote this play after she spent time with Bosnian women and heard their stories.
