Publication features UNL bio laboratory

 UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATIONS

UNL's Biological Process Development Facility was featured in a 60-page full-color magazine-like publication called "Praxis," published by equipment vendor Bioengineering AG from Switzerland.

The publication presents photos and detailed specifications from the UNL bioprocessing facility, headed by Mike Meagher, director of the Biological Process Development Facility.

The audience for the magazine is universities, industries, researchers and other vendors who would be interested in the BPDF. The main focus of the publication is the fact that the BPDF is unique among university-based bioprocessing research programs, because of its commitment to Quality Assurance.

According to the publication, the UNL program includes 49 full-time scientists, engineers and administrative personnel focused on biopharmaceutical process research, development and manufacturing of vaccines and biotherapeutics derived from recombinant expression systems.
