HANIWA FIGURE

A Japanese Haniwa figure and its reflection in a Richards Hall display case. The figure was created in Ceramics 231, taught by Joe Pintz. Students studied these figures - which date to 300 A.D. - and created sculptures based on the historical version or elected to contemporize them.
