Classics, jazz play NET Radio show

In September NET Radio's "Nebraska Concerts" series offers classical music from the Omaha Symphony and the Calder Quartet, as well as a concert from this summer's Jazz in June series. The weekly NET Radio series of fine classical and jazz music airs Sundays at 2 p.m.

On Sept. 17, comes a concert by the Calder Quartet. The group performs string quartets by Haydn, Bartok and Beethoven in this Lincoln Friends of Chamber Music concert at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery auditorium.

On Sept. 24, "Nebraska Concerts" presents New Orleans-based trombonist Rick Trolsen and Gringo Do Choro recorded during Jazz in June in the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery's sculpture garden. Also in the program are selections from UNL faculty recitals.
