Scarlet and Cream show is April 15

The Scarlet and Cream Singers will present their 34th annual Lincoln concert at 2 p.m. April 15 in Kimball Recital Hall.

The spring show features innovative vocal stylings, a variety of staging and choreography, and a versatile repertoire including vocal jazz, swing, contemporary hits, romantic ballads, folk melodies, musical theater, familiar opera choruses and country hits.

General admission tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for faculty and staff, and $5 for students and seniors. They may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling the Lied Center Ticket Office at 472-4747.

Sponsored by the Nebraska Alumni Association, the Scarlet and Cream Singers average between 50 and 60 appearances each school year. Members of the group (comprised of 16 vocalists, an instrumental combo and two sound and lighting technicians) are all full-time students, with major areas of study ranging from music to engineering, journalism and dentistry.

Nebraska Alumni Association programs are developed in support of UNL and funded by member dues and corporate partnerships. The Nebraska Alumni Association is an independent organization that receives no state or tuition dollars.
