Time for Three plays City and East campuses

The string trio Time for Three will offer three performances April 1-2 at UNL.

Time for Three opens the UNL slate at 7:30 p.m., April 1 in the East Union. The performance is part of the Lied Center's East Campus performance series.

Tickets for the East Campus performance are $20. UNL students with a valid NCard, and youth age 18 and younger, may purchase tickets for half price. Tickets are available at the Lied ticket office, or in the East Union, one hour before the performance.

Time for Three will also play Club/Carson, 7 and 9:30 p.m., April 2 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

The trio includes violinists Zachary DePue and Nicholas Kendall, and bassist Ranaan Meyer. Time for Three plays an eclectic mix of bluegrass, Hungarian gypsy, jazz, country-western fiddling, classical and improvisational music. The group debuted in 2003.

Club/Carson events convert the Lied Center's Johnny Carson Theater into a nightclub with candlelight, intimate table seating, and appetizers and drinks for purchase. Club/Carson artists are up-and-comers with established reputations. Tickets for Club/Carson shows are $15 general admission, $10 for UNL students with a valid NCard. Tickets are available at the Lied ticket office or at the door, one hour before a performance.
