UNL received two grants totaling $415,000 from the University of Nebraska Foundation for improving the undergraduate experience. The foundation awards grants each year to priority campus projects. Andre Fortune has been named director of the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center. Fortune, who was director of recruitment and retention for the College of Engineering, started the new post Sept. 1. As director of the Gaughan Multicultural Center, Fortune reports to Charles Francis, director of the Nebraska Unions, and Rita Kean, dean of Undergraduate Studies.
