• Bus 174 focuses on the June 12, 2000, hijacking of a passenger bus in the fashionable south side of Rio de Janeiro and the subsequent four-hour standoff that was filmed and broadcast live to the nation. The story of the hijacking is told parallel to the personal story of its hijacker, Sandro do Nascimento, in this documentary exploring Brazil’s socio-economic issues.

• Osama examines the lives of the Afghan people while under the Taliban’s control and the lingering problems that exist after Taliban rule has ended. The film tells of a 12-year-old Afghan girl and her mother who must find a way to survive after the father and uncle have died.
