Space music composer to perform

Nationally known synthesist Jonn Serrie will give a live concert, “Lumia Nights,” in the University of Nebraska State Museum’s Mueller Planetarium.

Two performances are scheduled by the artist who composes romantic, mystical space music: 8 p.m. May 1 and 3 p.m. May 2. Mueller Planetarium is in the NU State Museum at Morrill Hall.

Because planetarium seating is limited to 80, tickets are now available on a first-come, first-served basis at the front desk of the museum. Admission to this event is $15; $12 for university students, faculty and staff.

The concert will take place in the planetarium so the audience can view stars, planets and galaxies during Serrie’s performance.

Serrie’s music has won him critical acclaim and a reputation as one of the foremost composers of romantic space music. “Lumia Nights” is his new release. In addition to his 12 albums, his body of work includes projects with Lucasfilm Ltd., NASA, the U.S. Navy, Hayden Planetarium, Expo Seville and CNN.
