Kooser Featured at D.C. Events

UNL visiting professor Ted Kooser speaks Oct. 9 at the National Book Festival on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. As the nation's poet laureate, he was a featured presenter in the poetry pavilion, one of a dozen literature pavilions at the festival. About 300 attended his reading, and dozens waited in lines for Kooser to sign their books. The festival ended several days of events for Kooser in Washington; he gave his first reading at the Library of Congress on Oct. 7 and gave other interviews and readings during the week.
