School to perform Madama Butterfly

The UNL School of Music will present the opera Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 12 and at 3 p.m. Nov. 14 in Kimball Recital Hall.

Guest artist Suzan Hanson, soprano, will perform in the starring role. She has sung the role of Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly at the Connecticut Opera, Sacramento Opera and Nevada Opera Theater, and she has sung leading roles in opera houses in Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden and Israel.
