A Piece of University History

Herbert Johnson was born in Sutton, Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska. Johnson made a career out of drawing political cartoons and his work was published in newspapers and magazines such as the Denver Republican, the Kansas City Journal, the Philadelphia North American, and the Saturday Evening Post. This cartoon is one of many Johnson created while he was a student at UNL and were published in the Daily Nebraskan the Cornhusker annual, and the Arrowhead, a student publication.
