Chancellor's request initiates campus child care survey

The Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women will conduct a survey to assess child care needs at UNL.

The survey, requested by Chancellor Harvey Perlman, is being conducted during a temporary suspension of plans for the proposed child care center. Plans were sidelined in June as renovation estimates for a campus child care center exceeded available funds.

Any faculty, staff, or student who has dependents age 12 or under, or is expecting a child, is invited to respond to the survey. Those who do not receive either an e-mail invitation, or a paper survey may send an e-mail to the Bureau of Sociological Research at bosr@unl.edu or call 472-3672.

The survey will be available through Dec. 18.
