Chancellor to present State of the University

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will deliver the annual State of the University address at 11 a.m. Aug. 30 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Perlman will discuss the successes of the past year and the
challenges and opportunities offered by the 2007-08 academic year. The address is free and open to the public and will be broadcast live on the UNL Web site (www.unl.edu), Lincoln Time Warner cable Channel 21, KRNU Radio (90.3 FM) and Campus Channel 4.

The State of the University address will be preceded by UNL's annual Employee Service Award program at 10 a.m. in the Lied Center. Immediately after the address, the all-university picnic will be in the Lied Plaza. Lied Center doors will open at 9 a.m. for the Employee Service Award ceremony.

Shuttle buses from East Campus to the Lied Center will depart from Ag Hall, Animal Science (west side) and the College of Law between 8:45 and 11:45 a.m. The buses will depart the Lied Center to return to the same East Campus sites between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.
