'Go for Zucker' opens April 28

The first all-out Jewish comedy produced by modern German cinema, "Go for Zucker," opens April 28 at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.

A hit in Germany, "Go For Zucker" is a fast-paced, politically incorrect, but good-natured film.

"Go for Zucker" tells the story of Jaeckie Zucker, a down on his luck, conniving pool shark who must make up with his estranged Orthodox brother, Samuel, to meet terms of his mother's inheritance.

The inheritance is the only thing that can save Zucker from jail, ruin and divorce.

As Samuel and his clan move into Zucker's chaotic household, a clash of different lifestyles is inevitable.

In turn, Zucker uses every trick in the book to make things run smoothly.

"Go for Zucker" (not rated) shows through June 11 at the Ross.
