Kooser featured on chancellor's holiday ornament

Ted Kooser's poem, "New Year's Day," published in "Flying at Night" (1985, University of Pittsburgh Press), is featured on the holiday ornament issued by Chancellor Harvey Perlman.

The limited edition ornament is the 10th issued by the Chancellor's Office through the Nebraska Alumni Association.

Kooser, a professor of English, served as the U.S. poet laureate from 2004-2006. He won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize in poetry.

The ornament is available through the Nebraska Alumni Association, $20 for members, $25 for nonmembers. For more information, go online to www.huskeralum.com.
