Kunc opens two exhibits in March

Two exhibits featuring the art of Karen Kunc, Cather Professor of Art at UNL, open in March.

"Karen Kunc: Sensory Source," opens March 2 at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, 724 S. 12th St., in Omaha. Kunc will attend an opening reception, 7 to 10 p.m. March 2.

Kunc will also offer a workshop in reductive printmaking April 13-15 at the Bemis Center. For more information, or to register, call (402) 341-7130.

The exhibit runs through May 26.

Also opening March 2 is "Lyrical Legacy: The Prints of Karen Kunc" at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in Kansas City, Mo. The exhibition, open through April 28, honors Kunc's receiving the Printmaker Emeritus award at the 36th annual conference of The Southern Graphics Council, the largest non-profit printmaking organization in the nation.
