Regents to consider MA in art history

The NU Board of Regents will meet March 7 at Varner Hall. Committee meetings begin at 9 a.m., with the board meeting opening at 1 p.m.

During the meeting, the regents will consider approval of a new Master of Arts Degree with a major in art history at UNL.

The regents will also consider funding for an education center at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis. The project includes construction of a state-of-the-art classroom facility that will replace inadequate space constructed in the 1930s. The new structure would house the Horticulture Systems Division, provide additional space for Veterinary Technology Systems and offer a student commons space.

During the 1 p.m. Regents meeting, Barbara Couture, senior vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Linda Pratt, executive vice president and provost, will present information on general education.
