The Takács Quartet includes Edward Dustinberre and Károly Schranz on the violin, Geraldine Walther on the viola and András Fejér on the cello. Currently based at the University of Colorado at Boulder, the quartet performs 80 concerts a year worldwide. The Lied Center performance will include Haydn's String Quartet in G Major, Op. 74, No. 3; String Quartet B-flat Major, Op. 67 by Brahms; and Schumann's Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 44.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Yang began playing piano at age 4. By age 10 she had entered the Korean National Conservatory before coming to the United States and studying at The Juilliard School.

Jack Oliva, dean of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, will give a pre-performance talk at 7 p.m. in the Lied Center's Steinhart room. Seating is limited.

Tickets for the performance are $36. Students with a valid NCard and youth age 18 and younger may purchase tickets for half price.
