Special Lost Boys viewing May 11

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center will offer a special screening of Lost Boys of Sudan at 7 p.m. May 11. Proceeds will go to Lutheran Family Services’ Heartland Refugee Resettlement program that supports the local settlement of “Lost Boys of Sudan” in Lincoln.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with representatives from Lutheran Family Services, local Lost Boys, and other special guests. The event is open to the public.

Lost Boys of Sudan is an award-winning documentary that follows two Southern Sudanese youth, known as “Lost Boys,” on their journey from Africa to America. Co-directors Megan Mylan and Jon Shenk recently received the IFP/Independent Spirit Award, and the film received top honors at the San Francisco International Film Festival and Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis.

Tickets to the special event are $10 each. Advance sales start May 7 at the theater box office. For information, call the Ross at 472-5353.
