Coming soon to the Ross

These movies will show Oct. 29 through Nov. 11 at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. For times and more information, call 472-5353 or visit www.theross.org.

• In Intimate Strangers, Anna (Sandrine Bonnaire) enters the wrong office on her way to visit a psychiatrist. She then tells William (Fabrice Luchini) the intimate details of her marriage and sex life without realizing William is a tax accountant. He tries through two appointments to tell her his real identity, resulting in a third appointment in which Anna confronts him about the truth. Regardless, they continue their weekly appointments, both benefiting from a relationship built on misunderstanding and deception and full of questions.

• Festival Express chronicles the eponymous rock n' roll concert held in 1970 featuring such legends as Janis Joplin, The Band and the Grateful Dead. It differed from its predecessor Woodstock by being a portable concert that traveled for five days from Toronto to Winnipeg and Calgary with a concert in each city. The film combines footage of the event with current interviews.

Both films are rated R.
