Scarlet and Cream spring show April 23
The Scarlet and Cream Singers will present their 33rd annual spring concert at 3 p.m. April 23 in Kimball Recital Hall.
General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling the Lied Center box office at 472-4747.
The spring show features innovative vocal stylings, a variety of staging and choreography, and a versatile repertoire including vocal jazz, swing, contemporary hits, romantic ballads, folk melodies, musical theater, familiar opera choruses and country hits.
Known as the university's "Ambassadors of Goodwill," the Scarlet and Cream Singers are sponsored by the Nebraska Alumni Association, and average between 50 and 60 appearances each school year.
Members of the group comprised of 15 vocalists, an instrumental combo and two sound and lighting technicians are all full-time students, with major areas of study ranging from music to education and engineering to advertising.
