Orchestra presents annual Holiday Pops Concert Dec. 10

The Lincoln Symphony Orchestra presents the annual Holiday Pops Concert "Home for the Holidays," at 2 p.m. Dec. 10 in Kimball Recital Hall.
 The orchestra is led by resident conductor Tyler White, director of orchestral studies and programs at UNL. The program includes UNL's University Singers, vocalists Dawn Pawlewski-Krogh and Kevin Hanrahan, and a visit from Santa Claus.
 Pawlewski-Krogh, a soprano, is professor of voice and director of opera at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
 Hanrahan, a tenor, is assistant professor of voice and voice pedagogy at UNL and is the recipient of the 2006 Layman Award.
 The University Singers are directed by Peter Eklund, director of choral activities at UNL. Eklund has conducted choirs in many of the world's greatest performance venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, Mozart's Salzburg Cathedral and the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
