Jacobshagen, Day photo exhibit opens Jan. 12

The photography of Keith Jacobshagen and Paula Day is featured in "Double Vision," an exhibition opening Jan. 12 at the Lux Center for the Arts. An opening reception is 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Lux Center, 48th and Baldwin.

Jacobshagen and Day have been married since 1986. The exhibit marks the first time the two artists have exhibited work together in Lincoln.

Jacobshagen, a professor of art and art history, and Day have photographed together and separately for 25 years on trips and in Lincoln neighborhoods. Working in the tradition of unaltered photography, they make images of gardens as well as urban and suburban spaces.

Originally working as a commercial artist, Day spent five years at NEBRASKAland Magazine before returning to school and receiving her master's degree in 1999 from UNL. Today, she devotes her time to freelance photography.

The Lux Center is free and open to the public. Hours are Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and the first Friday of each month, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
