Keynote to join Feb. 1 Women: POV discussion

Maria Schneider, jazz compser and keynote speaker in the Arts Entrepreeurship Day on Feb. 3, will also take part in the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ Women: Point of View discussion, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1.

The Women: POV program provides opportunities to explore challenges facing women and offers ideas and strategies to meet those challenges through a series of community and campus interactions. The Feb. 1 discussion in the Lied’s Steinhart Room will cover topics ranging from healthy choices, balancing work and dealing with stress.

The discussion will include Schneider; Judy Hart, founder of the Angels Theatre Company; Amanda McGill, Nebraska senator; and Jan Deeds, director of the UNL Women’s Center.

The discussion, and reception to follow, are free and open to the public.
