Paddywhack offers Free at 6 performance
Lincoln-based musicians Paddywhack will perform a free concert at 6 p.m. March 15 on the Lied Center for Performing Arts' main stage.
| | LIED BOUND - The Lincoln-based Celtic/American Folk music group Paddywhack will perform a Free at 6 show 6 p.m. March 15 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
| | The concert is part of the Lied Center's "Free at 6" series, which was created to recognize and celebrate the range of artistic talent in the community and to open the doors of the Lied Center to a wider audience. Free at 6 programs are 45 minutes.
For over 20 years, Paddywhack has performed folk music from the British Isles and North America. The band includes original members Chris Sayre, Dave Marsh and Terry Keefe. The group plays a variety of jigs, hornpipes, polkas and reels on a multitude of instruments, while singing sea shanties, ballads and sing-alongs.
The individuals in this group are all accomplished musicians and winners of several awards. And, in February 2001, they appeared on the Lied Center stage with The Chieftains.
