Ross to show Metropolitan Opera live in HD Dec. 15

The Metropolitan Opera will present "Roméo et Juliette" live in high definition at noon, Dec. 15 at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. An encore performance plays at 1 p.m. Dec. 16.

The show is the first in the Metroplitan Opera's second season of international HD transmissions. The first season - which the Ross also participated in - reached an estimated audience of more than 325,000 viewers. The 2007-08 season includes eight shows presented through April.

Tickets are $22 for general admission, $20 for seniors, and $15 for UNL students, children and members of the Friends of the Ross and UNL Friends of Opera. Advance tickets are now available.
