HOLIDAY TWIST - Tom Mula as Jacob Marley. "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol" plays at the Lied Dec. 19-22.

Nebraska Repertory Theatre brings this one-man show, written and performed by Tom Mula, to the Lied. Virginia Smith, artistic director for the Repertory, directs.

"Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol" puts a twist on the traditional Christmas story. The play follows Jacob Marley's efforts as he not only attempts to save Scrooge's soul, but also his own.

Tom Mula has been an award-winning playwright, actor, and director for nearly 30 years. He received two Joseph Jefferson Awards in 1991 for his play "Golem" at the National Jewish Theatre and for his work on Nicole Hollander's hit musical, "Sylvia's Real Good Advice." In 1995, Adams Media published "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol." The audio version of the play was broadcast nationwide on National Public Radio for six seasons, and the show has been performed in more than 50 communities.

Tickets are $32. Half price tickets are available for UNL students with a valid NCard, and youth under 18. For more information, go online to www.liedcenter.org.
