'Playground' shows Dec. 14 at the Ross

Prepare to charge into winter as Warren Miller's "Playground," shows in a one-night engagement at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center at 7 p.m. Dec. 14.

"Playground" features winter sports footage from around the world, presented in high definition. Advance tickets are available at the theater.

The film showcases global sports destinations from Sweden to Canada, Alaska to Japan. Segments include a portrait of ski racing king and industry bad boy Bode Miller, a trip to Alaska's untouched Chugach Range with X-Games gold medalists Zach and Reggie Crist, dramatic footage from Utah and British Columbia, and astonishing aerial acrobatics from Sweden. The film also exposes an unlikely new winter sports destination, a resort situation directly within the Arabian Desert called Ski Dubai. Olympic Gold Medalist, skiing innovator and pop icon Jonny Moseley narrates.
