Campus program awards tree grants
Nov 11th, 2009 | By tfedderson2 | Category: Campus News, Issue, November 12, 2009The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, Inc. awarded tree-planting grants of more than $200,000 to 27 projects in 23 Nebraska communities as part of the 2009 Trees for Nebraska Towns grant project.
An additional $25,000 was awarded under the TNT Affiliates grant program to four other projects, which, in addition to planting trees, will evaluate plant adaptability, nursery production methods and planting practices over a period of several years.
